Multi-sited panoramic performance

(2015) Exhibition and telematic encounter.
Fluid States North, University of Copenhagen, DK, 18-21 Jun.

The project is an interactive audio-visual panoramic performance, collaboratively created by participants across the Fluid States North sites in Amager, Denmark, Torshavn, Faroe Islands, and Nuuk, Greenland.

Installed and assembled within the Amager site, the audio and visuals for the performance were collected by participants across the North Atlantic sites.

At each site we took panoramic surveys of the environment: recording audio from several points in a location, and photographs that were stitched together as panoramic images. The content collected was assembled by Kaya, as the start of a collaborative panoramic performance. It is a fusion of urban and rural landscapes, of sea and islands.

The project will be developed and expanded into a large scale interactive installation for the Performing Mobilities event in Melbourne in Sep-Oct 2015.

Both the Melbourne and Fluid States North events are part of the 2015 Performance Studies International global event (opens new window).

"Multi-sited panoramic performance" is an interactive projection, accessed via a movable trackpad. Still in production, the artwork will also be available as an online platform.

Stay tuned for updates later in 2015....
